This wine is one in a family of valued-priced wines from Vincor’s new Strut label. The website describes these was the wines “with legs” because the eye-catching labels all feature the most gorgeous female legs you will have ogled in a long while. Apparently in Ontario, where the wines were released in June at $11.95 each, the Strut wines are “flying off the shelf.” They have shown up only recently in B.C.
Labels like this will always get you to buy the first bottle. What about the second? I bought the first on the sassy appeal of the label. I am recommending the wine, however, because of its taste and its value. Well-Heeled White is an aromatic fruit bomb, tasting of citrus, melon, apples and herbs, with a touch of grapefruit and tangerine on the finish. The wine is finished with just a hint of sweetness, making it a great party and reception wine because it tastes so good on its own. However, the finish is dry enough that it can be enjoyed with dinner as well. Other wines in the Strut family include Risqué Rosé (another fruity off-dry wine judging from the spec sheet) and a Merlot called Red Over Heels.
